I'm a programmer at heart and work is a big part of who I am, so that's why it gets its own page here. I've been building things for the web since I was a kid, and today I'm a Senior Software Engineer at Avenue Code, working for big tech.

A little about how I work

I started out self-taught, building Blogger and Tumblr templates as a kid, and I've been learning on the job ever since. I've worked on fintech products, internal systems for a large bank and high-traffic retail e-commerce, and today I build a component library behind some of the world's most visited product pages. I'm mostly on the front end but comfortable across the stack.

I care about the things users notice without knowing it: performance, accessibility and SEO. I like writing tests for the parts that matter, documenting what I build, and leaving codebases easier to work in than I found them. I'm happiest working close to designers and product people, and I've also led teams technically and mentored other developers along the way.
